MG HYAKUSHIKI VER2.0

Hello World!

Things happen here and there.. I'm still on my modelling way~

Today kit is the Gundam that wears Sunglasses, the HyakuShiki!!

MG Hyaku Shiki Ver 2.0!!  

Ver 2.0 really redesigned with great proportion and details. anddd the most Amazing is the Gold Plated parts! The Matt feels really give a Premium look.

To boost it, I had the other parts a Metallic Finishing, using the enhance painting method. I also used orange for the panel lines on the Gold parts instead of the standard black. which I guess it will had a too high contrast between the colors.

To conclude, this is a really a Great kit with good proportion and articulation. Though the price is higher than usual MGs, because of the gold plated runners. But I think it really worth it.

MG GUNDAM ASTRAY + FLIGHT UNIT

• Twenty-Six Airbrushed

This time I tried having monotone colors as main, and having strips of a bright color.

Orange is one of my favorite colors because it's bright, yet not as warm as red. It gives me a soothing feel when I look at it.

But in this build, the orange isn't my ideal orange color yet. I guess I would need further testing in mixing the paints.

I painted the green clear parts with Fluorescent Green, which makes it glows when I shine UV light on it.

The Flight Unit is not from Bandai, it's a third party kit. When I first straight built the Flight Unit, its surfaces are rough. It maybe because the third party didn't go to a polished finish for the mold. Reason been that this is too costly.

In the end I had to sand all the surfaces of the Flight Unit, so that there won't be a surface different when fixed with the Astray.

Time flies. It's already Feb 2016!! 

Updating with my latest build, HG 1/100 Gundam Astraea

Objective: Testing of Highlighting and Shading with brown

• Twenty-Fourth Airbrushed

I had also modified the connector so that both the GN Rifle and Proto GN Blade can be mounted together at the same time

As the OOB GN cables are made of elastic material and really thick, I changed them to Clear parts by using clear pla-plate.

Shortened the mouth part

All Arms Equiped!

I'm glad that I had "graduated" from my training!
If there's any Singaporean here, I'm sure you know I'm talking about the BMT POP.
Yea! POP!
haha. POP = Passing out Parade.
It's a compulsory path for all SG men to go through...

Though so, it's not the end of SG National Service. It's just the start for the 2 tough years. In case if you dont know, BMT = Basic Military Training.
Yes. It's just the Basics.
So, I had posted to some other place in SG for the rest of my NS life.

In fact, I had "graduated" on the 12/12/15.
I apologise that I had late for 2 weeks, because maybe I'm just tired or a bit lazy to update my blog. Though my FB has been updating real time. Haha.

I'm now making the habit to update both my FB & G+ at the same time.

Twitter? sorry, but I'm just not used to the Twitter system..

The Increasing of backlogs

It's been a time from last update, and yet this post isn't sharing about my model WIP again.. Apologise~

Though it's a little disappointed that Kotobukiya didn't release it in their HMM series, but overall the articulation of this kit is still satisfying.
However it's still a pre-painted + assembled kit, which means the gate marks will be visible and the paint job is not perfect.


Murasame Liger from Zoids Genesis is my top favorite.
So most probably I may want to repaint it to a better finishing.


and I will be now waiting for Kotobukiya for releasing Hayate and Mugen Liger next year.

This Week was a Wonderful for me because many of my orders have reached my house!

These are loots from Amiami

..seems like my Backlog had increased once again..

Due to Time constraint, I couldn't take much photos for Review.

So I will just have a simple front shot for each.

Then I have also purchased 2 third party kits locally

-Red Astray Flight Unit for MG

-Exia R3 Conversion Parts for RG

Just a quick snap build of the Flight Unit.

The Quality and Design are not bad. The only down point is that the parts surfaces are not smooth. I could feel the roughness of the parts when touching it.

Maybe it's too expensive for a third party to have their mold polished to how Bandai did. Or maybe Bandai is just too strong in this industrial.

Anyway, we could always sand the surfaces of the part smooth with sandpaper.

Concluding, it actually worth for a cheap expansion kit.

Apologize that there's no review for Exia R3 yet, because I dont even have the base kit RG Exia with me now. Maybe I will just leave for the future...

SG GBWC 2015

Hello World!
Finally SG has started her Gunpla Expo + GBWC 2015 on 28 OCT 2015!!
I know I'm a bit late but this is the only time I could go for the Expo.
I had uploaded the photos I taken to Google, and Updated the Event Tab as well!
I'm not a Professional photographer, nor holding a high end Camera.
But I believe I had taken lot of details of the entries.

MG AEGIS GUNDAM

Hello World!

Updating with my latest build, MG Aegis Gundam!

In fact, I actually had it straight built for quite a long time before.

The reason why it was not paint is because that I didn't had any idea for it.

Then recently, I wanted to test out with candy painting.

And I wanted to know what's the result if I have a silver base with shaded, then I have a clear color coated.

and the result is out! 

• Twenty-Three Airbrushed
• No satisfaction rating as this's just for experiment

I apologize for not much photos, because I didn't want to spend too much time on it. I have limited time now, have to plan it wisely... I guess
